How to check number of mobile SIMs linked with your Aadhaar

The Department of Telecom recently launched the Telecom Analytics for Fraud management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) which allows mobile users to check SIM cards registered in their Aadhaar.

The TAFCOP website states “This website has been developed to help subscribers, check the number of mobile connections working in their name, and take necessary action for regularising their additional mobile connections if any. However, the primary responsibility of handling the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) lies with the service providers.”
This website allows you to monitor the status of SIM cards linked to your Aadhaar card. According to Department of Telecom rules, a mobile customer is allowed to register up to nine mobile connections in their name.

Here is a look at how you can check the number of mobile SIMs registered against your Aadhaar.

(
Do keep in mind that the website now states that the service is exclusively available to residents of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As they continue to expand the service, it is now available in a few more states. Check to see if your state number is eligible.)

Here’s how to check the list of mobile numbers associated with your Aadhaar card number
